We can now confirm our departure list for this season. The boys leave with the club’s best wishes and we wish them all the best in their next chapters.
Ed Thompson – Ed joined us from Cardiff University and made his debut in our Barbarians game. Since then, he has been an integral part of the team and a stalwart in our front row, making 70 appearances.
Ieuan Cornelius – Ieuan joined last season as part of the Ospreys academy and made his mark as a rapid wing in our squad. He made 22 appearances. He now departs and joins our northern rivals RGC.
Rhodri King – Rhodri joined this season from our aforementioned rivals and immediately made an impact in our first home game, scoring the try to secure victory against Newport. Since then he has been a key member of our squad and an ever-reliable hooker. He made 21 appearances.
Luca Giannini – Luca joined last season straight from the Scarlets academy. In what was a difficult season, he proved to be an extremely powerful and talented back row but injuries hindered appearances. He made 20 appearances.
Willis Wood – Willis’s biggest impact was made during our Barbarians game, where he scored alongside his brother Brandon, making them the first brothers in history to score against the Baabaas. He made 19 appearances. He now joins the All Blacks at Neath RFC.
Ellis Lewis – Ellis joined us from the All Blacks themselves alongside another compatriot, Cai Arnold. His biggest impact included scoring two tries in 6 minutes against Cardiff to secure a long-awaited victory at the Arms Park. In the latter of the season he made permit appearances for Pontypool and now joins them at the Park. He made 8 appearances.
James Price – James joined from our partners at Swansea University and signed full time this season. He proved to be a rapid centre and important part of our squad. He made 10 appearances. He now joins our closest rivals at Aberavon.
Iwan Johnes – Iwan also joined from Swansea Uni this season but sadly, an extremely dangerous injury prevented him from making further appearances. Despite this, he has been an integral part of our backroom and squad. He made 1 appearance.
Oliver Jones – Oliver joined from Tonmawr RFC on a joint contract with Swansea Uni. He was a part of an extremely stacked back row and was an integral part of our SRC Plate winning team. He made 7 appearances.
Tal Rees – Tal, much like Luca, joined us from the West having made appearances from the Scarlets academy. He made 7 appearances.
Luke Davies – Luke made his first appearance in pre season against Neath, having arrived from the Ospreys academy. Towards the end of this season he went on permit and now stays with the All Blacks. He made 3 appearances.
